Syrian army units boost positions in Badyah, reaching Syrian-Iraqi borders

DAMASCUS, Jun. 13 (MNA) – Syrian Army units, in cooperation with the backing forces, fulfilled the first phase of their military operations in al-Badyah, reaching the Syrian-Iraqi borders and boosting their combatant positions along the borders to complete the operations and clean the whole Badyah off the ISIL terrorist organization’s presence there.

A field commander said in a press statement in one point near the Iraqi borders “upon the directives of the General command of the army and armed forces to liberate every span of the Syrian territories from the remnants of terrorists, the army units have carried out the first phase of liberating and cleaning off al-Badyah from all terrorists.”

He added that the Syrian Arab army has been able to clean nearly 20 thousand km2 during the last four weeks setting off from the main axis of al-Sin-al-Tanf and the second axis of al-Nasryaih-Jabal Ish-Isharat al-Waer, reaching the Syrian-Iraqi borders.
